SUTURE I KRUUSE Monofast KRUUSE Monofast Monofilament: For smooth passage through tissue and high tissue compatibility Synthetic: Minimal tissue reaction Absorbable: By hydrolysis KRUUSE Monofast is a monofilament, synthetic suture with a smooth surface that gives minimal tissue reaction and decreased incidence of infection and trauma. KRUUSE Monofast meets all the requirements established by the European Pharmacopoeia (EP) for Synthetic Absorbable Monofilament Surgical Sutures. Absorption: Absorbable: n Complete mass absorption in approximately 90-120 days n Absorption by hydrolysis Chemical composition: n Monofast is fast absorbable synthetic monofilament suture material composed of Polyglycolide-poly (e-caprolactone) copolymer (PGCL). Tensile Strength: n 60 % remains after 7 days n 25 % remains after 14 days n 0 % remains after 28 days n Complete mass absorption in approximately 90-120 days Colour: n Violet and undyed Indications: KRUUSE Monofast is commonly used in soft tissues and ligation where absorbable sutures are indicated, including: n Subcutaneous or intracutaneous suturing n GI-surgery n Urological surgery n Suturing of oral cavity mucosa Range: n USP 5-0 to 1 n EP 1 to 4 Features and benefits n n n n Monofilament suture with some elasticity, providing a better tie down feeling during suturing Short absorption time - tensile strength 60% after 1 week Suitable for suturing fast healing tissue including gingiva, sub-cutis and intestines Very popular, monofilament suture www.kruuse.com KRUUSE© 06/2016 · 19448
