KRUUSE InSight Clinic KRUUSE and the veterinary profession – a long-term partnership Veterinarians across the continents use KRUUSE products every single day. They rely on the high quality and the excellent service they have come to expect from KRUUSE. They know, that KRUUSE adapts products and services to fit the needs of the veterinary profession – and that KRUUSE is able to offer the most updated and innovative products available to help veterinarians in their daily work. What does it take for a veterinary company to reach this status? What does it take, not only to become a “supplier” to the profession, but an important “partner” of the profession? What does it take to remain in this position long term, to become the “old and established” and, very importantly, trusted partner of veterinarians worldwide? It takes dedication – and hard work. More than a century ago, when KRUUSE was founded in Denmark, specialist veterinary companies did not exist. KRUUSE started as a pharmacy in 1896, selling a multitude of products, from chocolate to bandages. Gradually, from 1926 onwards, KRUUSE became a specialist supplier, catering almost exclusively to veterinary customers and strengthening their ties with the Danish veterinary profession. From the early 1950s, KRUUSE started to grow into a multinational business, slowly at first, but increasing their momentum internationally from the 1970s onward. KRUUSE gradually became a well-known name among veterinarians across the continents, established strong ties with veterinary key opinion leaders in various countries and built up a large and loyal customer base. During the 80s and 90s, subsidiary companies were set up in Sweden, UK and Norway, and today KRUUSE has additional subsidiaries in Poland and China, a total of 230 employees and a continuously increasing investment in Research & Development. It has, as mentioned, taken hard work and dedication to get to this point, as well as continuous focus on co-operation with the veterinary profession. Always remembering to be flexible and to listen to the customers. Always working to be at the forefront of innovation and development. Always developing the best possible consumables – often in co-operation with leading specialists from around the world. Always remembering KRUUSE’s goal of offering the veterinary profession the very best products. The 4 focus areas in this magazine ‘Dental equipment’, ’Sutures’, ‘Optimal wound care’ and ‘Postoperative management’ are typical examples of the way KRUUSE works with a veterinary product range - and of the excellent co-operation between KRUUSE and their customers: A long-term partnership to drive the veterinary profession forward.
